We’re proud to share the results of our Quality Use of Medicines for Insomnia and Sleep Health (QUMISH) program!

The Australasian Sleep Association, in partnership with the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, Sleep Health Foundation and University of Sydney, led an Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing funded 2 year pharmacist education program.

📈 Over 13,000 pharmacists reached
🧠 Strong engagement throughout Australia
💡 Improved pharmacist confidence and knowledge in insomnia management
🤝 Strengthened collaborations between professional sleep and primary care organisations

This program demonstrates that with adequate funding, the ASA can make a profound impact on the management of sleep health in Australia, that will result in sustained outcomes for years to come.

We’re excited to announce that the New Zealand Branch of the ASA will host Sleep in Aotearoa 2026, our annual scientific meeting dedicated to advancing sleep medicine and research.
