We’re excited to announce that the New Zealand Branch of the ASA will host Sleep in Aotearoa 2026, our annual scientific meeting dedicated to advancing sleep medicine and research.

What is CBTi?
Cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia is the recommended first line treatment for insomnia but is only accessed by 1% of Australians with insomnia.

Increasing the number of health professionals trained to deliver CBTi is one of the ways the Australasian Sleep Association and Australian Psychology society(APS) are working to address this practice gap. You can access the CBTi provider course here: https://shorturl.at/XiZI5

In partnership with the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, Sleep Health Foundation and University of Sydney, the Australasian Sleep Association are empowering pharmacists to better support patients with insomnia through a national education program funded by the Australian Government.
