💛 Today is R U OK? Day. A simple conversation can make a real difference. Take a moment to check in with a mate, listen with an open ear, and remind them they’re not alone.

Asking “Are you OK?” doesn’t need the perfect words. Just care, patience, and time. If someone isn’t ready to talk, that’s okay too. What matters most is showing up and letting them know you care. 💙

🙌 To all the dads, father figures, mentors, and role models in our community. Thank you for the love, guidance, and support you bring into the lives around you.

We also hold space today for those who find Father’s Day difficult. Whether through loss, distance, or complicated relationships. You are seen, heard, and valued.

At Mates That Matter, we believe family takes many shapes. What matters most are the connections we share, the encouragement we give, and the moments that remind us we’re not alone.

From a few mates catching up over a casual hangout, to a thriving community where everyone truly belongs. This journey is yours as much as ours. We’ve shared over 170 events, welcomed 80+ active mates, and created countless life-changing moments together. We’ve seen friendships form, confidence grow, and laughter fill every space we meet in. Here’s to the memories we’ve made, and the many more ahead! 🙏🙌

Every event, post, message, and moment at MTM is backed by a team who genuinely cares.

We come from different walks of life. Some of us are planners, some creatives, others behind-the-scenes organizers. But we all believe in the same thing: that no one should have to go through life feeling isolated or left out.

For Dan, it started with a small group of mates who just wanted real connection. For Oliver, it’s about building structure and consistency in every experience. Hoyt brings creativity and care into event design, while Jem makes sure our community always feels supported and heard. Marianne keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, and Mc captures the heart of it all through stories, media, and content that reflect the real spirit of MTM.
