On Tuesday 24th March, Meridith McDowell-Jones our beloved Receptionist for James Milson Village was presented with a Pride of Workmanship Award from the Chatswood Roseville Rotary Club.

Meridith was nominated by one of residents Norm Gibson who is a Rotary member and our Resident Chair Maryan Bryant. This award reflects the hard work that Meridith does for our village and our residents.

Some James Milson Village Independent Living Unit residents enjoyed a wonderful bus trip to Bayview last Friday, what an adventure!

The rain tried to join us, pouring on the drive there, stopping as we stepped off, returning while we were cosy in the Green Bay Café, then pausing again for the trip back. It held off just long enough for everyone to get safely inside, talk about perfect timing!

A fantastic day of laughs, great company and a touch of weather magic (with just one umbrella between us!).

Top of the morning to ya, to be sure, to be sure. James Milson Village had the luck of the Irish in North Sydney yesterday, as our residents celebrated St Patrick’s Day in style!

The festivities included a lively game of Irish Bingo, spectacular performances from the Michael Flatley award-winning Irish dancers from Scoil Rince Creer, and a delicious lunch of traditional Irish beef stew served with fresh Irish soda bread.

To top it all off, everyone enjoyed a wonderful singalong with entertainer Jasmin, filling the Village with music, laughter and plenty of Irish cheer.

It was a fantastic day of celebration, community and a touch of Irish magic.

Top of the morning to ya, to be sure, to be sure. James Milson Village had the luck of the Irish in North Sydney yesterday, as our residents celebrated St Patrick’s Day in style!

James Milson CEO Brad Williams enjoyed taking a group of residents from James Milson Village, on a special boy's day out to Nomad Brewing Co. The group enjoyed a fantastic behind-the-scenes tour of the brewery, learning how their favourite drinks are made, followed by a delicious lunch and some well-earned drinks together.

The burgers and chips were a big hit, and the afternoon was filled with great conversation and plenty of laughs.

Outings like these are a great way for our residents to stay connected to the community and enjoy new experiences together.

Thank you to the team at Nomad Brewing Co for such a warm welcome!
