We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Dame Marie Bashir 🤍

Dame Marie laid the foundation stone for our James Milson Village extension on 20 March 2005. The ceremonial trowel from that day still hangs on our wall a simple but powerful reminder of her kindness, leadership and commitment to community.

We’re grateful to have shared a moment in our history with such an extraordinary Australian.

Creativity (and a little bit of delicious mess!) filled the room during Gingerbread Making with Toni on 15th December.

Our residents had a fantastic time watching the gingerbread creations with icing, lollies and plenty of festive flair. Toni guided everyone through the activity, ensuring lots of fun, laughs and sweet treats along the way.

It was a delightful afternoon full of Christmas cheer, at James Milson Village North Sydney.

Thanks to everyone who joined us last night for our Christmas Carols concert. It was a really lovely evening, with residents, families and friends coming together to enjoy Christmas carols and good company.

It was great to see so many people singing along, catching up, and getting into the Christmas spirit. A big thank you to the performers and to our staff and volunteers who helped make the night run smoothly.

We appreciate everyone who came along and helped make it such an enjoyable night.

Our North Sydney residents enjoyed a truly magical evening out on the Christmas Lights Night Bus Trip on 10th and 11th December! Wrapped in the festive spirit, everyone loved cruising through the neighbourhoods to admire the dazzling Christmas light displays. There were plenty of smiles, as we soaked up the joy of the season together.

A big thank you to our wonderful staff for making these nights so special and safe for our residents. It was a beautiful way to celebrate the lead-up to Christmas at James Milson Village.

The James Milson Village Woolwich Christmas Party was held on the 12th of December and was an absolute hit! Residents were treated to a fantastic performance by the wonderful Donna, and of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without a special surprise visit from Santa himself!

Festive cheer filled the room and the incredible, delicious food made the celebration even more enjoyable.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this Christmas Party truly special.

What an incredible night on the harbour!

Yesterday we celebrated our James Milson Village team with our Staff Values Cruise, and it was the perfect way to launch our new values:

• Honesty • Excellence • Accountability • Respect • Together

To all our amazing staff thank you. Thank you for the compassion you show our residents, the support you give one another, and the heart you bring to work every day. This cruise was all about celebrating you, and you brought the energy, the laughs and the good vibes from start to finish.

From trivia battles to dancefloor moments, harbour views, photo challenges and plenty of fun along the way, it was a night we won’t forget.

Here’s to our JMV family we’re proud of you, grateful for you and inspired by the way you live our values.

Today, we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who have served, and those who continue to serve our country.

At James Milson Village, we remember their bravery, their strength, and the freedoms they fought to protect. The ANZAC spirit lives on in the hearts of our residents, families, and staff.

Across our villages, Pastor Norma led heartfelt Remembrance Day services, bringing our communities together to honour all who defended our shores in times of war and conflict.

We will always remember them.

James Milson Village Independent Living residents had a fabulous afternoon celebrating the Melbourne Cup in style!

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and friendly competition for Best Dressed - Fashion on the Field, with everyone looking absolutely stunning. Residents enjoyed a delicious spread of food, a few bubbles, and of course, all the excitement of the big race!

A wonderful afternoon filled with fun, friendship and fashion! Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the day so special.

This morning was all about connection and community at James Milson North Sydney! Our residents, staff, and neighbours enjoyed complimentary coffee, hot cinnamon donuts, and great company in the car park — creating a wonderful buzz of conversation and laughter.
