Last night, we celebrated our annual Thrive Awards, an evening dedicated to honouring staff who have been recognised for their excellence over the past year.

Awards were presented across categories, including the San Foundation Ambassador and Research Grants, Quality Awards, AMO Awards, Care Excellence, Service Excellence, People Leadership Excellence and Mission Ambassador, acknowledging the outstanding contributions of individuals and teams across the hospital.

We also took the opportunity to recognise several of our San Specialists who have recently retired, presenting them with Emeritus Awards in appreciation of their years of service. In addition, our Director of Research was acknowledged for his exceptional dedication and contribution to the organisation.

The Thrive Awards are a highlight at the San, as they remind us that great patient care is only possible because of the commitment, compassion and expertise of our staff.

This October make sure you Feel - Act - Know!

Feel: Early detection is a game-changer when it comes to Breast Cancer. Feel something different or new? Act now.

Act: If you haven’t recently had a breast check by a GP, are due for your BreastScreen appointment or for diagnostic imaging, act today and book in.

Know: Know your risk. Age and being female are two big risk factors for breast cancer, so it’s important to be aware and get checked regularly.

Team members from around the hospital joined us on Wednesday to turn the front lawn pink in support of breast cancer awareness 🩷
