✨ A Look Back at Our Seniors Exercise Programs This Year! ✨

We’re thrilled to share some highlights from our Strong & Stable/Falls Prevention classes and the GLAD program:

✅ Over 90 seniors benefited from Gippsland PHN funding to access these classes (no cost for 12 weeks program) in the past six months.
✅ Celebrating 7 years of the Strong & Stable program, running successfully due to popular demand!
✅ Honored with two nominations this year: the Stronger Medicare Award and the Gippsland Primary Health Awards. 🧿

Meet the nominees: Myphysio Spinal & Sports Injury Clinic
Category: Transforming access to care through inclusive practice
Myphysio Spinal & Sports Injury Clinic provides a range of services including rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, exercise classes for seniors, and bulk-billed treatment.

The clinic launched the "Strong & Stable" group exercise program for people aged 65 and over to provide specific support for this group. The team has also introduced additional areas of care, including falls prevention and the GLAD Program, an evidence-based exercise program for managing hip and knee osteoarthritis.

The team has collaborated with local general practices, hospitals, home care packages, and the RSL Club Wonthaggi to enhance program outreach and effectiveness. Many referrals have been received from clinic physiotherapists who identified seniors who would benefit from the program. These collaborative efforts have been instrumental in connecting with and supporting the senior community effectively.

The Gippsland Primary Health Awards celebrate the groundbreaking work of our local health teams and organisations. This year, we’re focusing on transformation—how we’re adapting, innovating, and improving in a rapidly changing world.

Gippsland Primary Health Award winners will be announced on November 20.
