We are very proud to have introduced hip resurfacing surgery, a potential alternative to total hip replacement, at Nowra Private Hospital.

Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Paul Thornton-Bott performed the surgery, which is designed to preserve more of the patient’s natural anatomy by reshaping and capping the existing femoral head and resurfacing the socket.

Offering this procedure at Nowra means patients on the NSW South Coast can access this specialised care closer to home. A big congratulations to everyone involved.
