OUR CRAFTSPACE LIVES ON!!!



From Monday December 9th, Craftspace and SCMB Disability Supports will go into collaboration to create Our Space 🤗💪😍!!!



With this opportunity, we will be able to recreate the space that we loved so much with just a few tweeks...



- We will still run a diverse range of art, suited to every ability of our participants.

-We will still offer a very "anyone is welcome" atmosphere, where people can feel comfortable and invited, no matter your situation.

- We will have supports in place (as identified in your intake) to introduce you to the space, assist you with your desired goals and help you feel right at home.

-We will be offering transport for those who require it for attendance.

-Due to the changes with NDIS guidelines, we will need to run our new space with a co-contribution. Meaning, each participant will need to contribute to the payment of art product use, each session they come along. We estimate this to be around $10 per session.

-We will run this model in conjunction with fundraising and grant applications to ensure that we deliver a service that is in line with what we previously upheld.



Proposed weekly time slots are..


Monday 9am-12pm, 12.30-3.30

Tuesday 9am-12pm, 12.30 -3.30

Wednesday 9am-12pm, 12.30-3.30

Thursday 9am-12pm, 12.30-3.30

Ok guys, we are getting very close to potentially bringing back our much loved creative space. But the next step is up to you...

As some of you might know, we held a meeting last week at SCMB headquarters, to discuss teaming up with SCMB Disability Supports to create an art space under the new NDIS guidelines.

Basically we touched on how the new space would need to work funding wise and how we, as a community, could collaborate to make it a reality.

This included co-contribution, fundraising, grant applications, craft donations and unfortunately what we needed to cut back on to make the space affordable but still something we all want.

At the meeting, after going through it together, it was voted almost unanimously that everyone would like to see it continue under the new proposal, but, that was just a smiggen of you all... We need the opinion of the greater community.
