Once again, our community is faced with disaster, and my heart goes out to all of those who have been hit hard by bushfires. I also hold deep gratitude to those on the ground working tirelessly to fight these fires and keep our communities safe.

When disaster hits it can bring up different feeling for everyone. It is ok to feel intense emotions at times like this. It is a normal response to highly stressful and life-threatening circumstances. For some it may not be the first time they are experiencing such traumatic situations in their life. This may mean that it brings up distressing memories of similar threatening situations. It may also exacerbate existing mental health and emotional challenges. This is also normal.

If you are experiencing difficult emotions and distress, it is helpful to share what you are going through with others who can provide emotional support. Talking about what is going can help. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength not weakness. It’s not easy to do when you are trying to be strong and survive but can help in the long run.

If you have children who have experienced traumatic experiences, it is important to show them that it is ok to feel what they are feeling and validate their experience. Tey will look to you for guidance on how to respond to frightening situations. If you need support to help your children in the aftermath of a frightening situation, please reach out.

It is also common for family and domestic violence to increase in the aftermath of natural disasters. If you are feeling unsafe it is important to reach out for help, you are not alone.

I have experience supporting people through natural disasters, crisis and trauma. If you need a professional to hold this space for you using evidence based and compassionate skills, I am available for immediate support face to face in Numurkah and online via telehealth.

Please don’t do this on your own, reach out to family, friends and professionals.

It’s been a huge year for me.

I’ve been working towards my mental health social worker accreditation, something I’ve been aiming to achieve for a long time. While I’d hoped to be accredited by the end of the year, I have paused to reflect and chosen to complete my accreditation in the new year.

I attained my EMDR Level 2 Training Certificates, because I know how important trauma informed care is for AuDHD women and gender-diverse people.

I’ve started rolling out my new branding, and I’m so delighted to have found a designer who understood what I wanted and worked with me to create it. 🌸

I have some incredible new work to announce in the new year, watch this space!

I’ll be taking an end of year break with my last day of practice for 2025 this Thursday December 18. I’ll be spending the time reading, relaxing, meditating, and reconnecting with nature around and within me. I can't wait to come back refreshed and rejuvenated on Monday, 6 January 2026. ✨

I know this time of year can be hard for a lot of people.

Some days, it’s hard for me.

It’s important that we allow ourselves grace and time to rest, especially if this time of year is tricky.
I’ll see you all in 2026. 🌈

Showing up for yourself doesn’t always look big or dramatic.

Sometimes it’s the quiet choices, taking a breath before responding, setting a small boundary, booking that appointment you’ve been avoiding, or simply admitting that you’re not okay today.

These small moments are acts of care. They build confidence, self-trust, and the steady foundations of healing.

You’re allowed to start gently.

Healing isn’t a straight line - it’s a process of learning to meet yourself exactly where you are.

Some days feel lighter, some feel harder, and both are completely valid.

Therapy gives you a space to slow down, reflect, and understand what you need in each moment… without pressure to be “further along.”

You’re allowed to grow at your own pace.

Some memories sit in the body like a weight - heavy, lingering, hard to shake even when you can’t put words to why.

EMDR can help gently soften those memories, reduce the emotional intensity, and create space for a kind of peace you may not have felt in a long time.

You don’t have to keep carrying everything on your own. Support is here.

Therapy looks different for ADHD and autistic people, and it should.
If you’re neurodivergent, you deserve support that understands masking, burnout, sensory overwhelm, emotional fatigue, and the pressure to “cope” in a world that isn’t built for you.

My 1:1 sessions are gentle, paced to your needs, and grounded in neuroaffirming practice.
Whether you're navigating trauma, identity, relationships, or day-to-day overwhelm, we work together in a way that feels safe, respectful, and genuinely supportive.

You don’t have to do this alone.

If you’ve been carrying things on your own for too long, you’re not alone.

Many people come to therapy because they’re navigating things like:

- Imposter syndrome
- Feeling overwhelmed or burnt out
- Workplace conflict or bullying
- Big career decisions
- Struggling to speak up
- Feeling unsure about the “right” next step

You don’t need a crisis to reach out, just a desire for things to feel easier, clearer, or more manageable.

If any of this sounds familiar, I’m here to support you.
