This year, I’m walking for mental health by taking part in Coastrek, a 30km team trek, and fundraising challenge, proudly supporting Beyond Blue, Australia’s most well-known and visited mental health organisation, focused on supporting people affected by anxiety, depression and su***de.

These issues are all around us, right here in our community. Sadly, they're often stigmatised, ignored, or unrecognised. Those with mental health problems are not supported in the same way that those with physical health complaints are. My aim in undertaking this walk is as much to raise awareness as to raise money. By donating even the smallest amount, you're saying, "I care about this". Please show your support and help to get people openly talking and thinking about mental health issues by making even the smallest contribution to my $500 target. If 500 people donated just $1, I'd be overjoyed that 500 people had recognised the positive impact of engaging with this issue.

Each contact to the 24/7 Beyond Blue Support Service costs around $48 to answer. Your generosity will help connect people with immediate support, advice and referrals wherever they are.
