Healthy Eating pyramids don't go far enough when it comes to wellness.
They certainly miss the mark when it comes to nutritional needs for pain mamagement, fatigue, stress and injury recovery.

So we've developed our own wellness pyramid as a guide to move, think and feel alive!

Some of the problems with purely focusing on nutrition is
- absorption of nutirents needs a calm relaxed nervous system that's why the relaxation repsonse is called 'rest and digest'
- people with chronic pain have been found to have higher incidence altered gut microbiome
- motility of nutrients and hunger needs body movement/exercise
- how you feast (happy, mindful, engaged with others) is sometimes more important that what you eat (nutrition and calories)

Lots more to speak about here. Love to hear your feedback and comments. Is there anything else we need to add???

3 steps for recovery from back pain -makes it sound simple!!

Recovery from Back pain does not respond to a simple quick fix standard treatment approach - however when a patient and therapist understand the mechanisms behind it - then there is hope for recovery.

When pain falls into the category of multiple pain patho-physiologies you need a robust and holsitic approach. At Next Wave we've always used the latest evidenced based treatment. When is comes to lower back pain - CFT is an approach that has been extensively studied at Curtin University.

Rushil has completed training in the program and is now accepting patients who would like to participate in a research trial. to address chronic lower back pain.

Please contact admin to find out more about what is involved and the possible reduced cost for treatment.
📣Limited numbers accepted so this is a first in best dressed situation!!

🙌🏽We're featured in an article about "How Physiotherapy Supports Faster Recovery After Common Sporting Injuries"

Topics covered:
Muscle Strains, Tears and Muscle injuries
> Early management Physiotherapy programs often include gradual strengthening and controlled movement to help tissues recover safely.

Ligament Sprains
> Physiotherapy typically focuses on restoring joint stability, coordination, and proprioception, which is the body’s sense of joint position and movement.

Tendon and Overuse Injuries
> Gradual loading and targeted strengthening are often part of physiotherapy strategies for tendon rehabilitation. This approach aims to rebuild tolerance to movement rather than relying solely on rest.

Why Our Team Treats Physical Wellbeing as Part of Creative Performance

At a glance, creative careers may appear less physically demanding than trades or manual labour. Yet daily routines tell a different story.

Many professionals quietly deal with another reality: the physical toll of long editing sessions, heavy equipment, repetitive movements, and tight deadlines. Over time, these factors may influence not only comfort but also concentration, consistency, and creative output.
