📚 PREP FOR PREP 📚

Our school readiness program is happening in January!

For children starting Prep/Foundation in a mainstream school in 2026, Prep for Prep is a space for our school starters to:

📚 Participate in routines common to the school environment

✏️ Practise motor skills used in the classroom

🧠 Learn and practise basic literacy skills

💬 Engage in collaboration

Children will be supported by our OTs and Therapy Assistant to work together to be school-ready ✨

An important message from Beanie:
“After a whole year of training, cuddles, and LOTS of love (plus a few sticks 🍂) I can finally take off my L plate! 🎓

I’m now a Certified Therapy Dog - ready to spread calm, comfort, and golden love wherever I go 💛

Big thank you to all my little hooman friends who gave me pats, giggles, and encouragement along the way.”

🧑‍🍳 All hands on deck in Cooking Club! 🙌

Our Cooking Club group made Raspberry and White Chocolate Scones during the school holidays - a fantastic way to learn daily living skills and to get hands-on in a kitchen setting!

What we learned in Cooking Club:

🥣 Food preparation skills like measuring quantities and different baking techniques

🧠 Organising, sequencing and problem solving

🗣️ Voicing our preferences and boundaries so we can respect one another

🤝 Making connections with one another

🧑‍🍳 That white chocolate and raspberries are very yummy together!

🧪 Our first Stretchy Science group – messy, investigative and far too much fun! 🧑‍🔬

In our Stretchy Science group we made rain clouds in jars to explore how the rain cycle works, and bouncy balls to understand chemical reactions and some hands-on physics.

Together, our Stretchy Science group:

🧠 Practiced sequencing, organisation, collaboration and lots of fine motor skills

🧠 Learned basic science principles like hypotheses, how rain happens, and how bouncy balls bounce

🧠 Asked questions to investigate further through applied science experiments

🧠 Made new friends, new colours and bouncy balls to take home

🧠 Cuddled with Beanie for a regulation break
