Participant shout out to Samantha! 💛
One of Samantha’s NDIS goals was to explore the world independent of her parents... and that she did!
So many firsts took place this weekend;
✅ Samantha spent her very first night away from her parents!
✅ Caught her very first tram ride.
✅ Used multiple means of public transport for a whole day and assisted ‘solving life’s puzzles’ to ensure we got to and from destinations.
Just to name a few.. Most importantly, Samantha proved to herself she is capable of anything she puts her mind to!
For many, the city hustle and bustle comes naturally. But for someone who has spent her whole life amongst the gum trees, with the love and support of her parents, the city is a very different and challenging experience! I’m so proud of you for solving all of life’s puzzles, stepping into the unknown, and handling big changes like a champion! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to witness such growth and bravery on your very first adventure! - Kristy
