The Acutonics Healing System is an energy-based non-invasive modality that has its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a form of
needle-less acupuncture. Acutonics® draws on science, music, metaphysics, cosmological studies, depth psychology, sacred geometry, philosophical traditions and both Eastern and Western medicine to create an integrated, harmonic approach to health care and healing. Precision calibrated tuning forks are applied
to specific acupuncture points, trigger points and organs to access the body’s meridian’s, chakra’s and energy systems. Each tuning fork is tuned to a natural harmonic (frequency) based on the orbital properties of the earth, moon, sun and planets. Their rich resonance and vibration
connects with and supports the body’s natural frequencies. The sound waves of the forks vibrate and travel deeply into the body affecting human physiology. This treatment stimulates and balances the body’s physical and subtle energy field to promote healing, inner harmony and
an integration of body, mind and spirit. Acutonics is an integrated approach to health care and education that incorporates ancient Taoist teachings of the meridians, pre-meridians, and the immortal body with sound. Acutonics is the first modality to apply the healing qualities of sound directly to the body. Acutonics Tuning Forks are specifically designed for their high quality and resonance for use on and over the body. It is this unique combination of specific healing protocols, treatment strategies, planetary frequencies and musical intervals that distinguish this healing modality from all others. Through correspondence and sympathy the planets have a profound connection to Oriental Medicine, the natural cycles of the universe, and to the Earth itself. Our deep connections to the Earth combined with the recognition that illness of the planet manifests in personal illness also drives us to focus on how each one of us can work toward living in harmony to create a Sustainable future. Our approach to wellness is rooted in the spiritual and wisdom traditions of Oriental Medicine, which recognizes that most diseases arise from a core blockage in our energy. Acupuncture points provide noninvasive access into the core energetic systems within the body. The planets provide musical intervals, archetypes, and correspondences that help us to fine-tune the therapeutic frequency that is applied to the body with tuning forks. We are rooted, sustained, eternally fed, and nourished by the powers of the Earth and it is our access to cosmological wisdom, the heavens, and the microcosm that sets us on a journey of transformation, reaching beyond self or the macrocosm, as above so below, as within so without. This system was co-developed by Donna Carey, LAc, and has evolved over the past twenty- five years through the combined efforts of Donna, Ellen Franklin, and more than fifty Acutonics Instructors who teach this work around the globe. There are also hundreds of practitioners that integrate this modality into their clinical work, and contribute to the growing body of research through their case study documentation. Acutonics is a modality that makes the basic principals of Oriental Medicine and energy medicine accessible in a non-invasive way and provides an adjunct therapy that can be easily integrated into the practice of Oriental Medicine, Massage and Bodywork, Energy Healing, Nursing, Psychology, Physical Therapy, and many other health care disciplines. We also provide people with tools that support their journey toward optimal health, through sound healing education and basic self-care technique. Acutonics Ohmworks® is a full program designed for home use. The Acutonics® Practitioner Certification Program in Sound Healing, is run through the Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine, LLC. Each class builds on what was learned in the previous class, as we explore concepts like layering sound, and work with additional tools including essential oils, Tibetan bowls and tinchas, planetary gongs, bells, and drums. This program is designed to expand your depth of understanding in the use of sound based therapies in the practice environment. There is extensive hands-on experience and a supervised clinical component where you give and receive sessions.
