With the best camp doggo in the world ๐Ÿถ

There was not a single soul in the campground. Bliss!

Until I got a flat battery and had to hail down a lovely random guyโ€ฆ who then fried my jumper leads. Cue 3 hour wait and local RAA to the rescue!

Iโ€™m the biggest fan of (mis)adventures!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜

Trying to eat healthier? Here are some additives and ingredients to keep an eye out for when checking those food labels! ๐Ÿ“œโœจ

1. Maltodextrin:
Highly processed and can spike blood sugar. Found in sauces and snacks.

2. High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS):
Linked to obesity and diabetes. Found in sugary drinks and baked goods.

3. Artificial Sweeteners (Aspartame, Sucralose):
Potential metabolic issues. Found in diet sodas and sugar-free treats.

4. Trans Fats (Partially Hydrogenated Oils):
Raises bad cholesterol. Found in margarine and fried foods.

5. Vegetable Oils
High in omega-6s, contributing to inflammation. Found in processed foods and dressings.

6. Artificial Colors (Red 40, Yellow 5):
Linked to hyperactivity in kids. Found in candies and beverages.

7. MSG:
Some report sensitivity (headaches, nausea). Found in soups and snacks.

Whatโ€™s your favourite thing to do with greens?! ๐Ÿฅฌ

I make a LOT of kale chips!! Give them a romantic massage with lots of olive oil, sprinkle seasonings of choice, I like garlic powder, salt and pepperโ€ฆ but sometimes get adventurous with paprika, gochugaru, sesame oil or nutritional yeast.

I also love adding greens to scrambled eggs, curries, soups or frittatas, or even just sautรฉing with olive oil or ghee and a s**t load of garlic and salt!

Hey there! While we often connect over all things health and wellbeing, I thought Iโ€™d start to share a bit more of a behind the scenes glimpse of who I am outside and beyond the world of nutrition!๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒˆ

When I'm not diving into the science of holistic health, you'll likely find me somewhere outdoors, chasing sunshine and adventure with my beautiful quirky rescue dog Daffy. I love curling up in the sun with a book, going on weekend adventures with our camper trailer, working out at the gym then hitting the sauna, and enjoying an occasional sunset gin in good company. ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿธ

Nature is my ultimate sanctuary. ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿƒ Whether it's going for a run or hike with my partner or friends, surfing, camping, or simply sitting outside with a cuppa, the calmness and the wildness of nature always recharges. The more remote the better in my books! It's where I find clarity, inspiration, and a deep sense of connection with the world around me. ๐Ÿต๐ŸŒฑ

Oh, and let's not forget my love for exploring food, working on the farm and playing a role in the whole farm to table produce chain, or checking out local farmer's markets and experimenting in the kitchen. ๐Ÿฅ‘๐Ÿ… There's an undeniable joy in crafting nourishing meals from fresh, vibrant ingredients. Plus it's my one creative outlet! A chance to blend flavors and colors into a masterpiece on a plate. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿด๐ŸŽจ

If I had to sum up my personality, it would be a blend of curiosity and empathy, with good sprinkle of lightheartedness. Life is a journey of growth and exploration and I believe in making each step count. No regrets!
