Adventure to the Park!

This client has been working on number recognition and counting in preparation for big school! To make learning fun and meaningful, we took our activity outdoors to the park, finding and counting natural treasures like leaves, sticks and flowers!

Exploring outdoors helps children to generalise skills across environments, supports hands-on sensory learning and builds early numeracy skills in a way that sparks curiosity and engagement.

We finished the session by creating a beautiful collage to show case all our discoveries.

We love to showcase the brilliant artwork from our clients!

Colouring isn’t just a fun activity—it’s a therapeutic tool. It encourages children to slow down, focus, and practise fine motor control. The repetitive, calming motion can reduce stress and anxiety while supporting emotional regulation. Colouring also sparks creativity and self-expression, giving children a safe way to explore feelings when words may be hard to find. In group settings, it promotes patience, turn-taking, and social connection, making it a simple yet powerful part of treatment.
