Why You Might Feel Tired After a Massage 😴

Ever noticed you feel a little sleepy or deeply relaxed after a massage? That’s actually a really good sign.

During a remedial massage your body shifts from “fight or flight” into “rest and repair.” Your nervous system slows down, muscle tension releases, and circulation improves. All of this encourages the body to relax and recover.

A few reasons you might feel tired afterwards:
• Your nervous system has switched into recovery mode
• Tight muscles have released, which can feel like a big exhale for your body
• Increased circulation helps move metabolic waste from tissues
• Your body finally has a moment to slow down

Think of it as your body saying “thank you, I needed that.”

If you feel tired after a session, it’s a great time to:
✨ Drink plenty of water
✨ Take it easy for the rest of the day
✨ Allow your body to fully absorb the benefits
