It's interesting to notice shifts in the timing of the hay fever season each year.
This spring, are your symptoms starting earlier, later, or about the same as usual?

🌿 Get Ahead of Hay Fever This Season 🌿

In traditional East Asian medicine, when it comes disease prevention, wise old proverbs like “Do not wait until war has begun to forge your weapons” and “Do not wait until you are thirsty to dig a well” are used.

These timeless sayings remind us that the best time to prepare is before the challenge arrives. If you experience seasonal allergies, now is the time to prepare your body—before pollen season peaks.

Acupuncture can help:
✅ Balance your immune system
✅ Calm sneezing, congestion & itchy eyes
✅ Strengthen your Lung & Spleen systems to handle seasonal change

📅 Suggested plan:
• Weekly treatments for 3–4 weeks before symptoms start
• Optional maintenance through the season
• Combine with breathing exercises, mindful eating & movement

Let’s prepare your body now—so you can enjoy spring with fewer tablets, sprays & tissues.

Movement generates Yang

….is a wise old saying of Chinese medicine. Yang is the spark, warmth, activity, function, awareness, consciousness applied to an otherwise lifeless mass of material (Yin), to give life. This saying very simply highlights the importance of movement for recovery from illness, health maintenance and longevity.

We must move. At all costs. Every day.

If you’re old, injured, or unwell — just do what you can. If it’s cold or wet, layer up or move indoors. It doesn’t have to cost anything.

Now in modern times, we know that:

Muscle mass is associated with longevity
Balance and coordination allows you to move with confidence and prevents falls
Exercise reduces the risk of most of the big chronic illnesses
Exercise improves glucose metabolism
It keeps your weight down
It improves your sleep
It improves your memory and mental sharpness
It lifts your mood
It boosts your energy levels and immune system

If you are in reasonably good health, go for a diversity in your movement. Walk, play a sport, lift weights, stretch, do some low level cardio. But at the end of the day, movement is just anything that opposes inactivity.

We were never designed to be sedentary.
