It's time of holidays, sun, beach, fun, slow walks, ... yes but why is it so difficult for me to switch off? Do you feel like that sometimes, often or even all the time?

There's a lot that regular yoga practise and massages can offer you.
But let's focus just on one aspect of massage and that is the oil itself.
As a ayurvedic massage practitioner I make sure I use the best quality oils.
Good oils in our food and in our massages are nurturing, supporting and grounding.
They can release any imbalances from the deeper tissues so they can be dealt with as well as build up the tissues, nurish and rejuvenate them.

So what delicious oils will you get to experience when having massage with me?
Ayurveda's favourite organic black sesame seed oil and organic coconut oil which is lighter cooling and suitable for summer, as well as more specialised ayurvedic medicated oils. My favourite ones are Dhanvantri for pregnancy a relaxation massage and Maha Narayan for more targeted work for muscles and joints. They both contain a long list of healing herbs. They sure make my work easier. 😊✨

Why not one of these mornings gently greet the hip flexors, then say hello to the glutes - in that second pic we don't want to lift the leg to high, avoid rotation in the hip, and then find your balance for the day in a little monkey squat balance, be as light as a bird sitting on a branch. Finish up with some mindful regular breath, count to 5 to inhale, 5 to exhale. Know that you're inhaling! Know that you're exhaling!

It's hot. Slow down. Busyness, stress and constant stimulation are also heating for our system so it's very important to keep 'cool'.

What about a few gentle rotations or twists to keep the spine and whole back happy and stimulate all the organs. These positions unblock the energy in the body and spine and allow us to feel open hearted, connected and loving.

Finish up with cooling pranayama/breathwork - Crow's Beak breath in which we inhale through pursed lips and exhale through the nose.

We generally wash and clean all we use including the body.
How do we clean the mind though?
Or think about everything we eat and drink. Can it all stay ? No, just what’s needed stays and the rest is eliminated.
How about all the thoughts and everything that comes in through our senses. Can it all stay without making us a bit ‘blocked’ and overwhelmed?

Meditation is not a quick fix, magic pill or an escape.
It’s a way of living and keeping the living fresh and clean✨
