Wangarang

Wangarang is a non-profit Disability Social Enterprise providing jobs and training for people with disabilities.

We also provide skill development and social support under the NDIS, and operate the Orange Return and Earn Depot. Wangarang Industries is a not-for-profit Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE), based in Orange, established to provide a range of jobs and training for people with a variety of disabilities throughout the Central West region of NSW. Wangarang is essentially a commercial business tha

t provides real work in a supported environment for more than 125 people with a disability, many of whom would otherwise be unable to work. Our supported employees undertake a diverse range of jobs from straightforward to quite complex in a range of work settings from factory based to mobile work crews. Wangarang offers a range of business and domestic services throughout Orange and the Central West, including: Gardening and lawn maintenance, textile production and repair, component assembly, document scanning, shredding, sewing and alterations, labelling, commercial cleaning, mailing and packaging. Wangarang provide services to a large and diverse customer base ranging from individuals and small sole proprietor businesses through to large multinational corporations. In addition, Wangarang also provides Life Choices and Active Ageing day programs. These programs aim to develop and maintain the participants’ ability to take part in community life, enhance independence, and provide ongoing learning, development and social interaction.

🏈💛 All Abilities Touch Football Gala – What a Day! 💛🏈
Our Lifeskills and Recreation crew had an absolute blast heading out to the All Abilities Touch Football Gala, proudly hosted by Currajong Disability Services , NSW Rugby League, and Parkes Spacemen Rugby League.

We hopped on the bus and made our way out for a day full of energy, teamwork, and plenty of laughs. The group took part in training drills, jumped into some friendly games of touch footy, and finished it all off with a well-earned sausage sizzle 🌭

It was a fantastic opportunity to get active, connect with others, and just enjoy being part of a supportive and inclusive sporting community. The smiles (and the teamwork!) say it all 💪✨

What a weekend it was for a FORAGE!
We hope all the Orange FOOD Week walkers had an amazing day out on the trail.

Wangarang loved being part of it once again, packing the goody bags for 1,200 lucky ticket holders (a tradition we’ve proudly been part of for many years!).

It’s always such a highlight to contribute to one of Orange's signature tourism events and see the community come together for good food, great company, and even better vibes.

Big smiles, great coffee and an even better cause ☕💛

Today we celebrated the Wangarang Coffee Cart at Dudley Private Hospital — creating real training and employment opportunities for people with disability, while serving up quality coffee for staff, patients and visitors.

Shout out too to Aussie Biscuits from Forbes, baking delicious treats and creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Pop in for a coffee, grab a treat and support something making a real difference in our community.
