The Yoga Room Orange We teach Yoga for EVERY body. We offer Iyengar Yoga classes in a friendly environment for students of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities. Orange Arcade

Since its opening in 1997, The Yoga Room has grown alongside the Orange yoga community. The Yoga Room offers classes for beginners as well as experienced yoga practitioners in a friendly environment. The method of Yoga we teach at The Yoga Room is Iyengar Yoga. Iyengar Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga because it uses the yoga poses, applied to the physical body, as a way of studying the self. Classes at The Yoga Room emphasise building a strong foundation at Introductory and Beginner Levels. We offer the following class levels: Introductory; Beginner; Level 1; and Level 2. To assist students to deepen their understanding of the subject of Yoga, we offer workshops in a range of areas including women’s yoga and starting a home practice. All teachers at The Yoga Room are certified Iyengar Yoga teachers or teachers in training in the Iyengar Yoga method.

Work at completely relaxing the body, the skin and the organs of perception. Let the breath flow steadily and evenly. Focus on the exhalation. Exhale softly, deeply and longer than the inhale. Immerse yourself in your breath. Each exhale brings you more towards your Self and “purges [your] brain of all its tensions and activities. Exhalation is the best form of surrender” (Lightbkn Pranayama p.249).

Chair Yoga
It is essential to keep moving and Chair Yoga provides a beneficial alternative for those whose movements are restricted. Join us on Mondays for the next 9 weeks from 9.30-10.30am. Everyone is very welcome to join the class. This class has funding and is for a limited so please come to The Yoga Room at 9.20am each Monday to start moving the body, keeping the brain challenged and stay active.
