Just as humans seek reproductive specialists, companion animals sometimes need expert care for challenges during breeding, pregnancy, delivery, or conditions affecting the reproductive system. These services play a vital role in preserving healthy lineage and supporting programs that produce dogs for critical roles such as assistance, detection, and service work through ethical breeding practices.

SASH is proud to be the only specialist hospital in NSW with a consulting theriogenologist (animal reproduction specialist), Dr Jasmin Hyatt.

Graduating with first class honours from the University of Sydney in 2012, Dr Jasmin began her career in mixed animal practice across NSW and New Zealand before dedicating herself to theriogenology. In 2017, she became a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists and a Registered Specialist in Veterinary Reproduction.

Dr Jasmin provides expert care in all aspects of canine and feline reproduction and values the opportunity to collaborate with other departments across the SASH network to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
