Drawing voluptuous peonies that are now in season. I seriously cannot get over the size of the blooms!

Images you see in this post the Peony is white. I purchased a fresh bunch and they were bright pink in colour. I’ve enjoyed watching the various colour hues this bloom creates.

Peonies grow very well in Orange being a cooler climate. Planting these beauties are on my list to do next season!

Thought I’d share this lovely colourful post about what Art Therapy is and isn’t .

If you have any other questions about what Art Therapy is and how it may assist you and your healing journey, please don’t hesitate to ask. There is no such thing as a bad question. Usually the question you ask is most likely to be the same question someone else may wish to ask. 🄰

I arrived back home to Orange from spending two days in Sydney learning techniques in how to loosen up my drawings, whilst also painting flowers and leaves in mixed media.

I was in great hands during this intensive workshop hosted by

Debbie is also showcasing her current exhibition FLORA & FOLIA. A must see if you love colourful and vibrant flowers. šŸ’

Currently working on my arts based inquiry, for my masters study, in the field of Therapeutic Arts (mental health)

I’m curious to explore ā€˜grief and loss’ from my own lived experiences. Images you see are part of my continuing thesis of what grief and loss look like to me from my creative experiencing of inquiry.

I will reflect upon this quote, from Nona Cameron’s doctoral arts-based research book, completed in 2016 at The Miecat Institute, ā€œExcuse Me, Your Grief Is Showingā€, about everyday loss.

ā€˜Exchanges occurred between and through the process of making where the materials used, informed the shapes that were made that then provided links and connections to new understanding.’

I love this quote. However to get to this point of loving self unconditionally and being compassionate to self (being kind to self, like how you’d talk to a loved one) for some of us is a work in progress. And that’s ok. šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

Others may project onto you what they maybe feeling and perhaps you take on their energy which isn’t yours to take on?

I know myself being a past people pleaser and an empath, that I truly feel into another person’s projection. In other words taking on their positive or negative vibe without them even speaking.

What a person thinks of me is their business, not mine to a degree. I can’t control people, places or things. But I can make peace with self on what I choose to take on of others and their perception of me. šŸ«¶šŸ»

It’s their ā€˜stuff’ they have to work on themselves and perhaps they might not be ready to accept accountability for their actions. Possibly some people maybe stuck in a rut with their rigid ways of thinking, that they don’t know any better?

There are so many possibilities, the list is endless, in how someone may project their feelings onto another.
An important factor is that you are safe both mentally and physically.

It’s up to us, I believe, as individuals, to set healthy boundaries ( to speak up, to use your voice to be heard in how you wish to be treated) in regards to what you wish to take on of others, or not . šŸ™ŒšŸ»

Part of my assessment for my Masters in Therapeutic Art.

Unit 3, Engaging with Materials.

I created a concertina using various materials, my main material and hero was a feather. 🪶

I’m still enquiring further into my creative expression. I have a resonance with ā€˜life and its fragility’.

MeDiTaTIoN StONE

Children creating their very own mindfulness stone they will be using to place on their bellies for when they practice their belly breathing exercises.

Often we are so busy chasing our tail in everyday life that we don’t even realise when we are breathing, for most breathing happens on auto pilot.

Being aware of our breath creates self awareness in how we breathe when we are calm and when we experience distress.

Deep belly breathing helps to soothe oneself and our nervous system.

I’ll be running mindfulness and Art Therapy classes soon for children. If you have any questions message me via Instagram or my mobile 0423 222 422.

Free flow dancing!

A great way to let go of any outside noise that no longer serves us.

Dance is a great way to step into the present moment, to ground.

Most of all to let go and dance like no one is watching!

Wow! What a ride!

•Model & Tv Presenter

•Holistic Beauty Therapist

•Diagnosed with rare appendix cancer

•Good bye to my first baby. I was in service of others for over two decades in the holistic beauty industry. And due to burnout and a health crisis, I couldn’t manage this role anymore. Not to mention the physicality of using my hands in treatments, over time started to show signs of wear and tear.
