Quick update on the All Abilities Disco 💜

We’ve hit a small hurdle.
Our original venue is undergoing maintenance over the next few months, so we’re now in the process of locking in a new space.

The event is still happening, and the support so far has been incredible 🙌

We’re currently looking for a suitable venue around Rockhampton/Yeppoon/Emu Park that can comfortably hold 120–150 people, with good accessibility and space for a dance floor + quiet area. Ideally something available in June, but we’re flexible for the right space.

There’s something personal I want to share.

For most of my life, I felt like my brain worked differently.

I could focus intensely on things that mattered to me, but everyday things that seemed simple for others could feel overwhelming. My thoughts moved fast. I’d overanalyse, struggle with interpretation, and at times feel completely misunderstood.

Recently, I was formally diagnosed with ADHD and level one autism.

It didn’t change who I am, but it gave me clarity. It helped me understand the intensity, the drive, and why structure especially through training has always grounded me.

And it reinforced something I’ve always believed:

Firehawk Strength isn’t just about training.

It’s about people.
It’s about understanding.
It’s about creating a space where individuals feel supported, accepted, and not alone.

Because the truth is, a lot of people are walking around feeling the same way.

📢 EVENT UPDATE – MOVIES WITH FRIENDS (MARCH 28)

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, we’ll be postponing this Saturday’s Movies With Friends event.

A close family friend of ours has passed away and we’ll be supporting family with preparations for the funeral service.

Right now, our focus is where it needs to be - with people.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of these community events. We’ll share a new date soon once things settle.
