After 35, protecting your egg quality becomes one of the most important pieces of your fertility puzzle.
And while age plays a role, science shows your daily habits - especially what’s on your plate - can either protect or damage your eggs.
Two of the biggest drivers of egg aging are inflammation and oxidative stress.
Both create cellular damage that builds up over time and affects how well your eggs grow and mature, and whether they can successfully fertilise, and implant as an embryo.
The good news is that you can actively protect your eggs through the foods you eat each day.
Here are two foundational nutrition strategies that will help support your egg quality, especially if you're over 35.
1️⃣ Eat foods rich in antioxidants.
Things like:
🫐 Berries
🥕 Colourful Fruit and Veggies
🌶 Herbs and Spices
🥜 Nuts and Seeds
2️⃣ Limit foods that cause inflammation
This includes:
❌ Vegetable and seed oils (fried foods)
❌ Highly processed foods
❌ High sugar foods
❌ Processed meats
And when you eat to nourish and protect your cells, you’re doing far more than improving fertility...
You’re creating the foundation for a healthy pregnancy and influencing your baby’s future health. 🌱
