**Disability Support Worker**
Due to recent growth we are seeking an experienced disability support worker for a casual position based in Leederville.
The preferred candidate will:
• Perform all duties with professionalism and care.
• Manage their time, and plan and organise their work.
• Display sound judgment, initiative, confidentiality and sensitivity.
• Able to work morning (6am to 2pm) & afternoon shifts (2pm to 10pm).
• Available for immediate start.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Assisting with personal care, healthcare and hygiene in areas such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and eating.
• Assisting to develop community skills. This could include tasks like budgeting, shopping, cooking and managing the home.
• Supporting activities of mobility and transferring, which promote independence.
• Supporting with necessary household duties such as cooking, cleaning and laundry activities.
• Supporting to keep yourself and your environments safe, clean and healthy.
• Assisting in medication management or attending medical appointments.
• Supporting social, vocational and community activities.
• Assisting in the development of care plans.
• Secretarial support and/or assisting with administrative functions.
Requirements:
• Minimum Certificate 3 in Disability, Individual Support, and/or Community Services
• National police check
• Working with children check
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate
• Manual Handling Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screen check number (if you have one)
• The NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’
• The ‘Infection prevention and control for COVID-19’ training module
• Drivers licence
• Proof of Residency
