Our team had the absolute pleasure of recently hosting Dr Renee Mackenzie, a senior lecturer in the Discipline for Prosthetics and Orthotics at La Trobe University, and Tanya Cooper, a clinical psychologist specialising in clinical mental health education and the Clinical Mental Health Educator for the Beyond Blue support service.
They lead us through their highly valuable Empathetic Resilience seminar experience with kindness, compassion and industry understanding.
Thank you from the whole OPS team for your great effort and care provided to our team, we really enjoyed and valued the experience.
We'd recommend you take the opportunity at AOPA congress 2025 to attend their seminar, it's full of interesting information & industry informed guidance applicable & relevant for all healthcare industry contributors at any level.

National Amputee Awareness Week in Australia takes place from October 4–11 annually, serving to raise awareness of limb loss, reduce stigma, and support the amputee community.
The week provides an opportunity to recognise the experiences of people with limb loss, share information about limb loss prevention, and highlight the support available, with charities like playing a significant role within Australia.
