🧡 A Message from Emiko 🧡

One of my dear regular clients recently shared something very important with me…

A few weeks ago during her massage, I noticed a mole on her back and gently suggested she get it checked. She followed through — and it turned out to be melanoma in situ.

Thankfully, it hadn’t spread and is being completely removed this week. She told me, “Emiko, you saved my life.”

🙏 This moment reminded me of the deeper meaning of our work.

As massage therapists, we spend a lot of time with your body. We see you, we feel you, and sometimes we notice small changes that even you might not be aware of.

If you’re one of my regular clients, you know I often bring up things I notice — whether it’s a shift in your muscles, your energy, or something on your skin. This attention is part of the care we give.

Massage is not just about relaxation. It’s a powerful form of body awareness, early detection, and deep connection.
