🎧 Honoured to be featured on the Cataract Coach Podcast with the brilliant .devgan, a true leader, educator, and innovator in ophthalmology ✨

We spoke about finding your path, leadership in surgery, and how the field of cataract and refractive surgery continues to evolve. It was such a privilege to share ideas with someone whose teaching has influenced surgeons around the world.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and for the thoughtful conversation. If you’re a surgeon, trainee, or simply curious about the art and precision of modern eye surgery, this one’s worth a listen 👁️

✨ Modern cataract surgery keeps getting better, and I’m grateful to be part of it. For the past months I’ve been using the new Alcon Unity phacoemulsification system at Cura Day Surgery Hospitals, one of the first centres in Australia to trial this technology.

The Unity system from makes surgery more efficient and uses less ultrasound energy inside the eye - meaning clearer corneas, faster recovery, and excellent outcomes even in the densest cataracts. 👁️💡

It’s always an honour to operate for people from all walks of life - from nurses in our day surgery team 🩵, to parents of optometrists🙏, and even a fellow driver from my car group✨. Some of you know cars are one of my hobbies 🏎️, and restoring crisp vision for great (and safe) driving makes the work feel even more rewarding

Every day I’m reminded what a privilege it is to give people back one of life’s greatest gifts: vision. 🌏👁️💙

Thank you to Alcon for your support

✨ My commitment has always been simple: to provide the best surgical vision correction tailored to each patient’s eyes and lifestyle.

Thank you for inviting me to contribute an editorial where I explore every option for vision correction and restoration – from laser to lenses – and how we can future-proof younger patients’ eyes.

Your vision deserves nothing less than a personalised, long-term strategy👁️💖

(Excuse the under eye circles 😂, I don’t have a cure for that, and it’s been a big long week! Happy weekend everyone, for rest, downtime and fun !)

✨ Honoured to present today at the HealthEd GP Conference in Sydney to over 1,200 GPs ✨
My talk wasn’t about lasers or cataract lenses this time - it was about something much more common (and often overlooked): dry eye disease 👀💧
Dry eye affects millions of people and can cause grittiness, watery eyes, intermittent blurred vision, irritation, and more. But it’s also incredibly important when it comes to surgical outcomes:
👉 A healthy tear film = accurate measurements for cataract & refractive surgery
👉 Treated dry eye = clearer vision and happier patients after surgery
By working together with GPs at the frontline of care, we can make sure patients get help earlier - and set them up for the best possible results if they ever need eye surgery in the future.
Grateful to be part of this important conversation 💙
Thank you to for having me

Swapped rings for a spiral

Feeling fortunate to work with the new Galaxy IOL from .global , the world’s first intraocular lens designed using artificial intelligence. This next-generation trifocal lens features a unique non-diffractive spiral optic, developed by an AI engine trained on patient outcomes. The design aims to provide a smooth, continuous range of vision across all distances, with , withoffering patients clearer, brighter vision due to 0% light loss, while minimising visual disturbances like halos and glare. Early results are looking stellar 🌌
