Yes, you have power over certain things in your life, but not everything!

The only things you can control are how you treat yourself and talk to yourself, the boundaries you set, how you treat others, how you perceive a situation and how you respond.🤗

It’s like having a remote control - you can choose which buttons to press and what to watch, but you can’t change the weather or what others do.

So, focus on what you can control and don’t worry too much about things you can’t change.

Do your best with what you have and let go of the rest.👍🏼

Your NDIS plan is about to finish, but what now? 😟

Let TCP be your guide!

Here’s the good news🤩:

To ensure you don’t experience a funding gap, the NDIS will automatically extend your current plan by up to 12 months if your new plan hasn’t been finalized by the end date.

This is part of their commitment to provide a smooth transition and continued access to supports.

The NDIS will contact you to schedule a plan review meeting before your current plan ends.

This meeting is an opportunity to discuss:

✨ Your achievements and progress: Reflect on the goals you set in your previous plan and how well you achieved them.

✨ Changes in your circumstances: Discuss any changes in your needs, goals, or capacity which might impact your future support requirements.

✨ Developing a new plan: Based on the review and discussions, a proposal for a new NDIS plan will be prepared.

This week, let's celebrate the amazing abilities of people with Down syndrome!

One common myth is that they can't live independently or have jobs. But that's just not true!

Everyone with Down syndrome is an individual, with their own strengths and goals. Some might need more support in daily life, while others can rock living solo or with minimal help.

And guess what?

Many people with Down syndrome hold down awesome jobs too!

The support coordinators at TCP, work diligently to help people with Down syndrome achieve their goals, whether it's independent living, employment opportunities, or simply living life to the fullest.
