Three things you will never see in a product photo.
1. Timber thickness
The Roman uses 18mm solid timber panels.
Most budget ice baths use 10mm or thinner cladding to save cost and weight. Thinner timber warps faster, insulates poorly, and breaks down under constant moisture and temperature cycling. Thickness matters for durability, thermal stability, and longevity.
2. Fully insulated tub
The stainless tub is wrapped in insulation before the timber shell goes on. This dramatically reduces heat gain, keeps water colder for longer, and lowers chiller run time. Less energy use. Less noise. More consistent temperatures. Most knock offs rely on exposed tubs with little to no thermal barrier.
3. Marine grade stainless steel and support base
The Roman uses marine grade stainless steel for the tub and a stainless support base underneath. No painted steel. No mild steel frames that rust from the inside out. This matters long term when water, condensation, salt, and outdoor environments are involved.
Cheap ice baths compete on photos and price.
The Roman competes on what actually matters after year one.
