Anxiety Isn’t Random
It’s THE MESSENGER
The body is constantly communicating through sensation, not logic.

And underneath everything,
your body is always checking:
“Am I safe?”
And if the answer is no,
then your system shifts into
protection mode.

So why do you feel it “Out of Nowhere”?
Because consciously, you might think:
“I’m fine… so why do I feel like this?”
But your nervous system does not operate on logic, it is responding to Patterns, Memories & Sensations.

So what feels like anxiety
“for no reason” is often:

* A stored stress response being activated
* A nervous system that hasn’t fully returned to safety
* Your body trying to release what’s
* still being held
And here’s the thing:

You can be functioning, coping ok, even succeeding…

…and still be living in survival mode underneath it all.

When Your Body Is
Living in Survival Mode

Even if your life looks “fine” on the outside, your nervous system
could still be carrying past emotional stress, unprocessed experiences, long-term pressure or burnout, or patterns of always needing to
“hold it all together”

This creates a survival state of
fight, flight, or freeze.

Your body stores what wasn’t resolved, holding onto what the mind couldn’t fully process at the time of the event.

Emotions that were not completely processed and let go after a traumatic or stressful event do not just disappear.
They are stored as Tension, Hypervigilance or Protective Patterns

So even when your environment is calm…your body may still be responding to the past, not the present.
Instead of seeing anxiety as something to suppress, you start to see it as energy trying to move through you.

That tight chest.
That restlessness.
That surge of emotion.
It’s not dysfunction.

It’s unprocessed emotions.
And when given the right support, the body knows how to release it.

Because anxiety doesn’t live in your thoughts, it lives in your body.
Which means healing doesn’t come from overthinking it, pushing it away, talking yourself out of it or staying positive.
It comes from creating safety within your nervous system.

it’s showing you what it expects to see.
And that expectation is built from your beliefs.

So if you’ve ever felt like:

WHAT IS SURVIVAL MODE ?

Survival mode is when the nervous system is operating from a place of protection rather than safety.
Modern trauma research shows that the nervous system constantly scans the environment for cues of safety or danger – a process known as neuroception.
When the nervous system perceives danger, it shifts into protective states designed to help us survive.
In short bursts, these responses are healthy.
But when the body remains in this state for long periods of time, it affects emotional regulation, physical health, and overall wellbeing.

Our early experiences become wired into our lives by unconscious habitual daily reactions and responses.

Our nervous system adapts in an attempt to find safety.
We cannot connect when we are inprotection mode.

Healing begins when you recognize the patterns that have been embedded since childhood and that have become your ‘normal’ pattern of defense and response when the nervous system senses a problem.

Each time you notice autopilot taking over today, pause.
Place your hand on your heart and take three conscious breaths,
and ask yourself:
“Am I choosing this, or am I repeating a pattern?”

I couldn’t believe it had been 2 years since my last holiday. 🥲
My energy felt depleted and you know when you know you need a break….
So 2 weeks of island hopping, cave exploring and beach life in the Philippines was the remedy. 🛶🏖️
I’ve never been before and absolutely loved it all, and I’ll definitely be going back to explore more of its beauty next time around.
Sadly my tan won’t last in this weather but the memories will 🏝️😀💙

With these batteries now fully recharged I’m back and taking appointments again.

🌟 I’m also doing all my skin treatments again. Yay!!
So my facials will be available again to book online.

📍And…After a wonderful year and half at The Courtyard with Emmy and the gals, I am now back working from home in Palm Beach. 🏝️
🌟 I’ve opened up Mondays, Thurs afternoons, Fridays and Saturday times on the calendar.

💭 The Truth About Controlling Behavior 💭

Ever wonder why some people (maybe even you) feel the need to control everything?

Control is rarely about power—it’s about fear.

✨ Fear of uncertainty
✨ Fear of failure
✨ Fear of being hurt
✨ Fear of losing connection

When we try to control everything around us, we’re actually trying to protect ourselves from discomfort. It’s a survival mechanism—one that gives us a false sense of security. But in reality? Control creates resistance, stress, and broken relationships.

So how do you break free?
🔹 Identify the fear—What are you really afraid of?
🔹 Practice trust—Start small by letting go of minor things.
🔹 Shift to self-mastery—Instead of controlling others, focus on your own thoughts, emotions, and reactions.
🔹 Embrace uncertainty—Growth happens outside your comfort zone.

The next time you find yourself incredibly impatient with someone or wanting to micromanage or control an outcome, ask yourself, “What am I afraid might happen?”
“What would really happen if I choose not to take control here” ..if we take a little longer? What would that mean about me?”
See if you can bring acceptance and safety, to this fear inside yourself.
Pay attention to the “why”. Why do I need to control this situation? What fear is driving me to take control now?
