Cycling Without Age - Gold Coast

Accredited volunteers, award winning, safe, fun, dementia friendly and without barriers.

A volunteer community group offering an enjoyable activity for seniors and people with disability by providing FREE rides on adaptive bikes in beautiful locations. Cycling Without Age is a not for profit charity which provides a community service by connecting those no longer able to ride for themselves with their community and the outdoors. We give free rides in comfort and safety on trishaw eBikes and bikes which carry non-motorised wheelchairs, piloted by volunteer cyclists. With value-based guiding principles of generosity, relationships, slowness, story telling and with dignity, all rides are FREE.

🚲 𝟮𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀—a𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴!
Since 2020, Cycling Without Age Gold Coast has proudly delivered over 25,000 free trishaw rides to seniors and people with disability.
These rides spark joy, connection, and dignity—and 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 without ever being asked to contribute.
As our impact grows, so do our costs.
Did you know:
👉 Each trishaw costs about $25,000
👉 We are run entirely by volunteers 💯
👉 We are 𝗻𝗼𝘁 funded by government or private corporations
👉 We’ve kept our program free and accessible thanks to sausage sizzles, grants, donations and generous hearts.

We had so much fun coming together with our volunteers on Wednesday to shoot these photos!

Next Saturday, we're not just taking anyone for a spin – we're inviting your 𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗴𝗲, from sprightly sprouts to wise old owls.
Yep, that means dragging along your parents, their parents, and even the ancestors if they're game (just kidding – please leave Great Great Grandpa's urn at home 🙏).
Got a neighbor who tells the best stories? Bring 'em!
That sweet old-timer from the bus stop with tales taller than a skyscraper? Yup, invite them too!

My client and I thoughly enjoyed the experience. Anne and ourselves sang and tooted as we travelled along the path at beautiful Paradise Point. My client never knew the Board walk went so far, cafes and Restaurants were there.Volunteers are friendly and informative on the environment around us.My client and a local, supports Cycling without Age had an amazing time.Sun, Fun and laughter..Thank you Volunteers Anne, Wayne and all other Volunteers for all the hours and joy you give to us all..🙏💕
