NSW has been placed into a lockdown for the next week in an attempt to control the current COVID outbreak.
The APA (Australian Physiotherapy Association), under the advice of the Chief Allied Health Officer, has directed that whilst we are not required to close, routine care should not be delivered face-to face during the stay at home period.
Parkes Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Centre will remain open during this lockdown period, however only for essential appointments. It is important that we support the aims of the Public Health Order, which is to limit face-to-face contact unless necessary.
All patients as well as staff will be required to wear a mask, and sign in via a QR code. Please do not attend if you are required to isolate or have any cold and flu symptoms.
If you have any questions, or need to discuss your treatment options, please feel free to call us on (02) 68625005
Stay safe!!!

The APA has today confirmed that we are classified as an essential service, so YES we are open!!!

The Federal Minister for Health, The Hon Greg Hunt, has today confirmed that ALL allied health businessess can continue to work and are encouraged to do so.

In the future, we may transition to telehealth and this shouldn't be too hard to do using the exercise programme that I already use. However, MR Hunt, also acknowledged that "face to face services for many remain vital so where possible, we encourage you to continue."

So while we are able, we will continue with face to face services with your health and safety utmost in mind. We will continue to monitor this ever-changing situation and keep you updated should things change.
