With the huge toll the pandemic took on our mental health, it's more important than ever that we make mental health a global priority, especially for our kids.

According to a survey by , "41% of children reported the pandemic had a negative impact on their wellbeing, and at the time of the survey in early 2022, around one in five children reported that they were feeling more down, scared or worried than they used to".

If you're concerned your child may be struggling with their mental health, we have a few tips to help you manage:

β–ͺ️ Look for signs that your child needs extra support, including: avoiding people or social situations they used to enjoy; changes in sleeping or eating; feeling hopeless about the future; drug/alcohol use or self-harming

β–ͺ️ Learn more about mental health by researching and talking to experts

β–ͺ️ Have the conversation even when it's hard: find a quiet place and time to ask your child if there is anything they want to talk about

β–ͺ️ Note that their fear of being judged or treated differently can keep them from opening up - be patient

β–ͺ️ If they're not ready to open up, don't push them

β–ͺ️ Take them seriously and help them seek professional support

Is your baby suffering with colic? Give cranial osteopathy a try.

Cramped within the uterus as our children are, there can be some physical tension and misalignment caused by birth.

Cranial osteopathy is for infants involves gently cradling and massaging your baby's head, spine and body to feel for and release physical tension, and can have a number of benefits including fostering healthy realignment, and improving the body’s fluid dynamics such as colic.

If you're lucky, your child will love a bowlful of something green and nutritious. This isn't the case for most of us though, and getting your child to eat their broccoli and carrots may seem like an uphill battle.

If you're at your wit's end trying to convince your kids to give vegetables a try, we've compiled three easy ways to incorporate greens into their meal time without the fuss:

πŸ₯£ Blend into soup: One of the easiest ways to mask the flavour and look of vegetables is by blending them into soup. A nice slice of bread on the side or some pasta, and your child won't know the difference!

⭐ Cut into fun shapes: Make mealtimes something to look forward to by cutting vegetables into fun shapes - think stars, triangles and hearts - and even arranging them into pictures, bento-style.

πŸ₯¦ Incorporate into their favourite meal: Mask the flavour of vegetables by adding them to your little one's favourite meal. Pizza, pasta, tacos, nachos or even blended into the sauce over, greens can easily be added to any meal to make it more nutritious for them.

What do you do to get your kids to eat more vegetables? Let us know in the comments below. πŸ‘‡
