Tips from Jordan-
Hey everyone! Bit of a change in scenery at Connex, I am a 27 year old male that has experienced debilitating mental and physical disabilities throughout my lifetime. I am now running most supports with ConnexLife.
I had been diagnosed with ADHD since young, I have always been into sports so the physical injuries where collected as time went on however nothing stops me from enjoying my sports even if I have to switch it up every now and then!
I think I can relate to most things that people are going though these days, especially with the rise of short form content and the way in which it can take over someone’s well being.
Now don’t get me wrong, watching content of your interests is a great way to inspire yourself to go out and do similar things. In fact through some of my life’s challenging times, YouTube has helped me get out and about again. I used to watch people solo sailing across the world and eventually I got out there again and started living my life the way i wanted. I was able to do similar things such as get back out into the ocean and surf!
Back when YouTube was first created I was about 10 years old. There was no suggested videos (your whole screen lighting up with colours and cool thumbnails making you click). YOU had to search your own imagination and watch something that maybe useful to you! I used to love watching tutorials on how to fix things that I owned such as remote control cars… etc
The point… and TIP! I am trying to give today is actually quite simple and helps me not get distracted by apps on my phone like Instagram and Facebook.
Without further ado…

Simply go to your phones settings and turn your whole phone Black and White.
You will still be able to do important things, you may even still watch a few videos here and there but it won’t be as hard to stop after a few minutes of watching. Your welcome!
To change your iPhone to black and white, go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Color Filters, turn the toggle On, and select Grayscale. This instantly removes all color, which can help reduce screen addiction and eye strain.
