Thanks to our partnership with Psych Perceptions, a fellow member of the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce, we have developed a fact sheet specific to the common reactions to trauma.

Although a lot of focus is placed on the cardiac arrest victim, there are a number of issues/aspects for the rescuer. We are focussed on supporting individuals who have experienced traumatic experiences as we understand what it means to lose a loved one.

As a psychologist the question I am asked most, other than "Can you read my mind?", is "What can you tell about me?". We are so innately curious about ourselves. Notice when you look at a group photo, who do you search for first? Yourself of course. Also you will notice that dinner conversation is often a competition of who can tell the most stories about themselves and their own experience.

I have finally finished the 5 love language book, something that has been on my To Do list for years. And only recently achieved because I discovered the power of audio books on long trips.

I started to reflect on my love language, and how funny it is that I communicate love in one language while wanting others to communicate love to me in a different language.
