October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

'Check in' with your breast health - We encourage women over 40, and especially those aged 50-74, to monitor their breast health by ensuring they are up-to-date with their breast screenings.

'Check in' with your breast friends - Reach out to them with a call or share this post to check on their well-being and remind them of the significance of regular breast screenings.

'Check in' with your breast awareness - Familiarising yourself with the usual appearance and feel of your breasts will aid in noticing any changes.

Do you know how blood pressure works?

Do you know how blood pressure works?

There is a clear link between high blood pressure and an increased risk of heart disease, in particular having a heart attack or stroke.

Family history, salty foods, smoking, alcohol, being overweight, and not enough exercise all increase your chances of developing high blood pressure.

There are no obvious signs or symptoms of high blood pressure, so you may not know you have it! So you should have your blood pressure checked even if you feel fit and well.

The good news? Small lifestyle changes make a big difference to your heart health. 💪❤️

✨ Today was a big day. ✨
In solidarity with his brave little buddy, Dad Ed, shaved his head right alongside Elliot, who is continuing to face chemotherapy with more courage than any of us can imagine. 💛
Hair doesn’t define us — but love, strength, and togetherness sure do. 💪❤️
We’re all so very proud of this little warrior and so grateful for the support that has been displayed for him on his journey thus far.

RSV: Not Just a Baby’s Cold

You’ve probably heard of RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) in passing — but this isn’t just a runny-nose bug.
It’s one of the leading causes of serious respiratory illness in infants, young kids, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.

Key facts you should know:

Highly contagious: Spreads through coughs, sneezes, and touching contaminated surfaces.

Symptoms: Starts like a common cold (runny nose, cough, low fever) but can lead to bronchiolitis or pneumonia.

Risk groups: Babies under 6 months, adults 60+, pregnant people, and those with chronic heart/lung conditions.

Prevention matters:
✔️ Wash hands often
✔️ Cover coughs/sneezes
✔️ Keep sick people at home
✔️ Ask your doctor about new RSV vaccines & monoclonal antibody protection

Why care?
RSV puts millions in hospital every year worldwide. Knowing the signs could save a life.
