Our team use resources like Teach Me About Spoon Theory by NeuroWild, as a a simple way to help neurodivergent kids understand how their energy is used throughout the day 🤍

At NSPOT, we’re proud to be a neurodiversity-affirming, child-led, play-based practice—because every child deserves to be supported in a way that celebrates who they are, not changes them.

We love supporting autistic individuals and their families, and we’re always learning from the voices that matter most 🤍

Last week, our leadership team headed to Melbourne for the Grow Your Clinic Summit, and wow, what an experience ✨

From inspiring workshops to meaningful conversations and networking with other incredible clinics, it was such a valuable few days of learning, reflecting, and collaborating. Being in a space with like-minded teams, all working towards growing and improving their services, was something really special.

We’ve come back feeling inspired, recharged, and more aligned than ever 🤍

So many ideas, and we can’t wait to bring it all back to our team and the families we support!

This week, one of our Speech Pathologists, Lauren, attended an incredible professional development course by Cari Ebert, Speech Pathologist, parent, and passionate advocate for neurodiversity-affirming practice. 🤩

The training focused on building a deeper understanding of Autism as a neurodivergence, the role of the Central Nervous System and regulation, and reframing behaviours as communication in action, through a neuroscience and language-based lens. 👏

Lauren came away feeling inspired and energised, with practical, meaningful strategies to better support our clients and their families in everyday situations. She is excited to share this learning with the NSPOT team and continue building our approach to be even more neurodiversity-affirming and sensory-informed. 🤍🎉

Big changes are here for our families 👇

From March 1st, updates to the Medicare M10 pathway mean eligible children and young people (under 25) can now access increased support for speech services.

Early support matters, and these changes are a positive step towards making therapy more accessible for families.
