As many of you know, our work with remote Indigenous communities often brings truly inspirational moments — and, lately, some very wet ones, with the rains sweeping through Northern and Central Australia.

From being held up in a roadhouse for two days while floodwaters slowly dropped (watching even Police vehicles attempt the crossings on the only road in and out!), to seeing the rains transform the country — greening the land and filling waterholes — it’s already been an unforgettable experience 💚

While Eisha is on Country in the APY Lands, there’s always a blend of meaningful work, deep connection, and those quiet moments that take your breath away.

The past few days have been spent alongside an incredible crew of local teachers at Pukatja / Ernabella School. Working together — sharing stories, ideas, and plans (with plenty of laughs along the way) — is a powerful reminder that real impact is built on relationships. Not just with the children we support, but with the people around them too — families, teachers, and community.

Our work with the children continues to inspire us. Their curiosity, creativity, and strength shine through in everything they do. Every session, every conversation feels like a step toward something bigger.

And in between the work, the Country offers its own gifts — unexpected waterfalls, still moments, and landscapes that ground you instantly. There’s something powerful about being out there that puts everything into perspective.

Grateful for the people, the place, and the purpose.

Next stops: Fregon, Mimili, and Indulkana — before Eisha heads off the APY and back to Coober Pedy for more work.
