✨ Outwest Care Outing to the Gold Lounge! ✨

This week at Outwest Care, we treated some of our amazing participants to a special trip to the Gold Lounge at the cinema to watch Zootopia 2 🎬🍿

From comfy recliner seats to big smiles all around, it was a fantastic experience filled with laughter, fun, and a little movie magic. 💛

Community outings like this are all about creating meaningful experiences, building friendships, and making memories together. We love seeing everyone enjoy new adventures and stepping out to try something different!

The Outwest Care crew took some time out at Windsor Bridge — and what a vibe it was! 🌉🚛

Mac and the group were roadside, waving big and bright, getting the truckies to blast their horns… and they did not disappoint! Even cars driving by were joining in on the fun, honking and waving back.

Moments like this are what it’s all about — connection, community, laughter, and creating memories together. 💛

What a fantastic day at Outwest Care! 🥪🌯

Our group had so much fun learning how to prepare their own rolls and sandwiches — a regular activity that helps build independence, confidence, and healthy habits. From spreading butter to layering fresh salad and choosing their favourite fillings, everyone got hands-on and creative in the kitchen!

Activities like this are a great way to encourage our clients to:

🥒 Make healthy choices
🍅 Build confidence in the kitchen
💛 Enjoy social time together

🌟 What an inspiring Friday at Heroes with Ability! 🌟

Today our Outwest Care crew had an absolute blast doing footy drills, practice challenges and fun fitness activities with the amazing people from Heroes with Ability! 🏉💪

Heroes with Ability is a fantastic grassroots charity on a mission to break down social and sporting barriers for people with disabilities in Australia, helping everyone reach their full potential through inclusive sport, wellbeing and community participation. 

We loved seeing our community members getting involved, building confidence, having laughs, trying new skills and making new friends. 🤗

A huge shout-out to Heroes with Ability for creating such a supportive and empowering environment — looking forward to more days like this! 💛

🚔✨ A Huge Thank You to Hawkesbury Police✨🚔

We were thrilled to welcome the amazing team from Hawkesbury Police to Outwest Care for a very special visit! Our participants had the incredible opportunity to explore the police cars up close, sit inside them, and even turn on the sirens 🚨 — which was definitely a highlight of the day!

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and excitement as everyone enjoyed this hands-on experience. It was such a meaningful and memorable visit for all involved.

A big shoutout to Hawkesbury Police for taking the time to connect with our community and create such a fun and engaging experience. We truly appreciate your kindness and support — we loved every minute of it! 💙👏

Last week, Billy visited the Assistance Dogs Australia workshop in Penrith 🐾💙

Billy absolutely loves animals, and spending time with these beautiful assistance dogs was such a special experience for him. Animals are incredibly therapeutic and bring Billy so much joy and calm.

We’re so grateful for opportunities like this that support wellbeing and meaningful community connection.

TryTime is a fun, non-contact rugby league program for males and females, aged 5yrs to adults with intellectual disabilities and additional needs, including (but not limited to) autism, Down syndrome, developmental delay and vision impairment.
