🌟 Meet Tracey 🌟
🌟Our New Occupational Therapist! 🌟

We are so excited to officially welcome Tracey to the Playful Stages OT team!

Tracey graduated from Western Sydney University and brings with her a genuine passion for supporting children and their families. Her love for working with children began in her teenage years as a learn-to-swim instructor, where she discovered the joy of watching children grow in confidence through connection, play and new skills.

During her studies, Tracey completed one of her final placements here at Playful Stages — and we absolutely loved having her. She quickly became a valued member of our space, supporting children in strengthening fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation and sensory processing through play based therapy.

Tracey is deeply committed to helping children build confidence, independence and a sense of “I can do it!” through meaningful, sensory-rich experiences. We are thrilled that she is returning to us now as a fully qualified Occupational Therapist.

Jackie and Josey had a busy week in Katoomba. It was fantastic and we love being part of Birrong. Thank you to The Gabrielle Centre For Children for having us and putting together an incredible week of adventure and fun for the kids.

Over Thursday, Friday, Saturday and today, Josey has been soaking up some amazing professional development on Polyvagal Theory and Embodied Sensory Motor Relational Intervention presented by the incredible Tracy Stackhouse.

Her OT-brain is happily buzzing with new ideas about regulation, safety and connection — and she’s excited to weave what she’s learned into the way she supports children and families in her practice.

Thank you Mind2Mind for your continued dedication in bringing out courses for us to learn and grow. Linda, Hannah, Colleen and Lynette you are amazing.

From the bottom of my heart — THANK YOU, Jackie.

This week marks 10 years of Jackie’s service at Playful Stages Occupational Therapy!!

Jackie was there when we had just one tiny room on the Broadwalk Arcade. She was there for the big leap to Woodriff Street, and again when we moved into our current space on York Road. Through every stage of our growth, Jackie has been a steady, compassionate, and generous presence. She is always willing to jump in and help and she ALWAYS give her very best to the families we serve.

She has brought so much to our team: incredible clinical knowledge, warmth, wisdom, gentleness, fierce advocacy for kids, a sense of humour, and a huge heart.

The thing I am most grateful for is that she’s not just my colleague, she’s my friend. She is a sounding board to share ideas, a calm in the chaos, and someone I’ve learned so much from.

Jackie, I am so deeply grateful for your loyalty, your knowledge, and your care for the children, for their families, and for all of us who work beside you.

Ten years is an extraordinary milestone. And I know I’m not the only one who is thankful for you, our families love and appreciate you just as much as we do.

Here’s to you, Jackie and to everything you’ve given Playful Stages over the last decade. We are so lucky to have you.
