Cobham Youth Justice Centre has launched its first-ever in-custody apprenticeship, creating a new pathway for young people to build skills and change their futures. 🤝

The Civil Construction program was driven by Felicity Zeiher, former Youth Justice Skills Program Manager, and supported by Mob Ready, The Management Edge, MAS National, and The 1000 NSW Public Sector Apprentices and Trainees Program.

Delivered entirely within custody, the apprentice gains hands-on experience and formal training each week. The model shows strong potential, especially for young Aboriginal people, and supports Closing the Gap initiatives by creating real pathways to employment.

A huge thanks to Shannon Fitzgerald, Programs Supervisor at Cobham, for making it happen. 👏
