We’re excited to share that our in-person DBT skills group for teens at 26 Court St (Brooklyn Heights) is almost ready to begin — and we only need one more member to launch!

This group is a great fit for teens who struggle with:

Emotional sensitivity or reactivity

Impulsivity or difficulty managing distress

Challenges in relationships or communication

Participants will build the four core DBT skills:
Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Emotion Regulation.
These foundational tools help teens better understand and manage emotions while improving relationships and overall wellbeing.

Program Highlights:

Can serve as an add-on to current therapy or as part of a comprehensive treatment plan

Includes a personalized intake and treatment plan

Open, ongoing group — teens can join anytime

Takes approximately six months to complete all modules

Neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQIA-affirming environment

The members of this group will learn the four core DBT Skills: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Emotional Regulation. These skills are extremely helpful for children who are currently struggling with emotional sensitivity, emotional reactivity, and impulsivity.

SageMind Psychology is currently in the process of starting our in-person group for 15-19-year-old teens, located in Brooklyn Heights! We are so thrilled and grateful to finally start this group up!

Happy Tuesday & belated Labor Day weekend!

SageMind Psychology is excited to share our updated group offerings roster!

All of our groups are ongoing and are currently accepting new members.
Our virtual tween group is available to residents of NY, MA, NJ, or VT between the ages of 10-14 years old.

Our virtual teen group is available to teens ages 15-19 years old residing in NY, NJ, or VT, while the in-person group will be meeting in Brooklyn Heights.

Our virtual adult group is available to adults 20 and up residing in NY and NJ, & over 44 PSYPACT states.
We are also currently offering a tween, teen, and adult IOP; please contact us for more information.

Rachel is an LMSW licensed in NY and NJ who specializes in anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation (SI)/nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI), school refusal, LGBTQ+ affirming care, play therapy, interpersonal relationships, trauma, and behavioral challenges. She focuses on treating young children and teenagers. She is also extremely welcoming, compassionate, gentle, and direct & honest with clients.
