It is so easy to feel tired and stressed by the end of school term, and sometimes you need some help to unwind.

A Remedial massage can be an awesome way to de-stress in the holidays. A Medibank Private study in 2003 found that people who took time for self care took fewer sick days and called themselves healthy. Massage is now the most referred to allied health modality by GP's.

WHAT IS REMEDIAL MASSAGE?
Remedial massage is carried out by trained therapists who tailor the treatment to you. It can be helpful in treating specific areas of muscle tension caused by stress or injury, as well as for relaxation and general wellbeing. Remedial Massage has both short and long-term effects on the body.
It can even be claimed on private health insurance.

I completed my OM2 training on 11th September 2023 with Tania Shaw.

"Studying oncology massage was a natural progression in my professional training after completing qualifications in both Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy. I knew I wanted to be able to treat people safely whilst they were going through their cancer treatment and this is when I contacted Oncology Massage Limited for more details about their courses.

The course content is thorough with much practical instruction and scope for additional reading. Training with OML has given me the confidence and skill set to provide a safe, comfortable and targeted massage for anyone who requires specialised care and a soft touch. I have observed my patients becoming calmer, rested, free from anxiety and reduced pain during their treatment. Client feedback has been amazing too. It makes me feel happy that I can offer this type of care to my clients in the knowledge that I am not causing harm."

Did you know that all of the Remedial Massage Therapists at Painaway are members of Professional Associations? Sharon is with Massage and Myotherapy Australia, and Liz and Heidi are members of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. This means that as one of our clients, you can be confident that our qualifications have been accredited by both the government and our professional peers. We are also required to do further professional education every year, meaning that our knowledge and skills in Remedial Massage techniques are up to date and increasing all the time! Membership also means we have provider numbers for private health funds.
