I have been making these delicious Blueberry Muffins for breakfast and for my children’s lunch boxes. They are made with spelt flour which is healthier, and low in sugar. They are also super quick and easy to make, I can whip them up first thing in the morning and still be in time for school. My children said that they prefer these to the store bought ones - which is all the validation I need! 😍😋

August 26th is National Dog Day, in honour of of the bond we have with our furry best friends.

We adopted this little guy before Christmas last year and have been blessed with so much unconditional love and many indescribable joyful moments since.

Watching him transform has been weird and wonderful.

Seeing the smiles and happiness on my children and husband’s faces when greeted by cheeky Munchkin, after long hours at school and work is the best feeling in the world.

The not so little pup has reminded me of lessons learnt in humility, patience, consistency and unconditional love. I have re-learnt not to sweat the little things, and to just enjoy the moment.

🐎 I have 1 + 1 teenage kids, plus 1 grown up kid if you count my husband 🤭
🐎 I am the eldest of 6 and the shortest in the family. I am also the oldest and shortest in my own family!
🐎 My husband is 6 years younger than me ☺️
🐎 I remember the names and breeds of all 6 dogs I grew up with (all at the same time): Mona Lisa (a Dalmatian), Mimi (a mixed breed), Rover (a Great Dane/Bulldog cross), Quanto (a German Shepard), June (a Bull Mastiff), Silky (an Australian Silky Terrier)
🐎 I am exactly 50 years younger than my husband’s Nana who turns 106 this year. I am a Fire Horse and she is a Fire Dragon. We get on like a house on fire 😆
🐎 I love science fiction
🐎 My hidden talents are baking/cake decorating and finding ”lost” things
🐎 I suffer from Arachnophobia and Acrophobia, but jumped out of a plane last month. Do you think that cured the Acrophobia?
🐎 I am often mistaken as the babysitter or carer of my daughter rather than her mother

A moment of reflection - I’m so proud of the day I made a decision to take a step closer towards living life with intentions and take courageous actions.

Last month my husband and I had our birthdays. For the celebrations, I was surprised with a chance to do something with him that is on my bucket list. This thing is waaaay down the list because it involves a life long phobia of mine - fear of height which although I confronted almost 20 years ago, it intensified after having kids because now I have little ones who depend on me.

This phobia will never go away, but I did not want it to stop me.

I resisted at first - because it is a natural instinct to shy away from something one fears, but with positive encouragements and more importantly, I decided to take the chance because it is part of my goal of living life with positive intentions. Most of all, I REALLY REALLY wanted to tick it off my bucket list. I was also thinking of a motto that I have been implementing whenever possible - “If someone offers you an amazing opportunity but you don’t know if you can do it, say yes! Then learn how to do it.” (Richard Branson).

I am proud to say I ticked it off my bucket list! 🙌💪😆💃🏻
