Hi fam! Wow, it’s been a while. Firstly I want to apologise for my abrupt stop in working as a personal trainer. After Covid hit me a second time, it really took a toll on my mental and physical. I absolutely loved working as a PT full time, but found for myself I wasn’t able to manage my own health and mental health whilst focusing fully on others. Don’t get me wrong, I love helping people so much. But my lack of balance and ability to focus on myself left me in a place where I didn’t feel I could fully commit to helping you guys to the standard I wanted to achieve. During this break I have worked on both my mental and physical health, re-found my passion for dance and starting studying health sciences at Curtin. I really feel like I’ve found the things that I need to keep me and my soul happy. With this new found energy and vibrancy, I want to continue being able to help people achieve balance and vitality through fitness and nutrition. So with that, I will now resume offering online training, programming and nutrition advice. I will be launching this in about a week, as I have found a new system, software and mentally that I am currently refining. I absolutely love helping you achieve your health and wellness goals, and offering online services is a way for me to still be able to look after myself and manage my other commitments, so that the service I do provide is the best I can be. Thank you to all of you for continued support and patience. Watch this space, exciting things are coming 💜

ATTENTION LADIES!

I’m currently looking for 10 women who want to take charge of their health and fitness goals, FOR GOOD! To finally put yourself first and reach your goals for the long term.

My goal is help women transform their body's with results based training and enjoyable nutrition practices.

What does this mean? It means no more spending hours in the gym without intent or purpose, working specifically for YOUR body.

It also means reaching your body composition goals in a healthy, enjoyable and sustainable way, with options that fit within your lifestyle and better yet, still eating the foods you LOVE!

Sounds too good to be true right?

I bet you've tried a lot of diet and workout regimes in your time. The problem with 99% of these is they aren't personalised. They aren't 100% customised to your goal, preferences and lifestyle. That's what makes what I do different.

I want YOU to reach your body composition goals and MAINTAIN those results! That's why a huge part of the program is about changing your habits and mindset about diet and nutrition.

How do I make this happen?

Here's what's included:

-100% personalised training program, based on your goals, abilities and skill set
-With this comes an app with videos and instructions for EVERY exercise!
-A customised meal plan that specific to your goals, body, lifestyle AND foods you actually enjoy! This isn't a restrictive diet, it's an enjoyable and sustainable way of eating.
-Here's what most don't offer: EDUCATION. I have created a 5 module course that you get access to. What do you learn? All things mindset, habit formation, and how to really create LONG TERM change! With this program you actually learn HOW to live a healthy lifestyle, not just get told what to do.
-Fortnight video check-ins with me
-Access to client only Facebook group
-Constant support from me- message me anytime in your training app

So, if you want to reach those goals and feel strong, confident and empowered, send me a message or book in a free call here: www.nourishwithneish/work-with-us

Can’t wait to here from you and start changing your life!

Single arm bent over row. An awesome back exercise, from beginner to advanced lifters. The latissimus dorsi is the main muscle group recruited during the single-arm row. The entire back, shoulders, and arms are also engaged (the trapezius, rhomboids, teres major and minor, deltoids, infraspinatus, biceps, brachialis, brachioradialis, and even pecs).

You may better isolate the lats and raise the weight higher than with a traditional barbell row by focusing on one arm at a time. You can lift more weight by resting your free hand on your thigh or another firm surface, but remember that the purpose of the one-arm row is to reach the full range of motion of the activity rather than merely lifting greater weights.
Make sure to pack the shoulders, keep the core strong and bring the weight towards the hip, not waist. Happy lifting!

Happy Tuesday guys! Who’s keen to spice up their weekend breakfast? If so, this recipe is for you!
Sweet potato and sweet corn fritters with avo, eggs and jalapeños! Such an awesome weekend brunch, great if you have guests over to! Recipe suggests one egg on top of each, but I would go for 2 to amp up the protein. Give it a try guys!
What’s your favourite weekend breakfast?

The dead bug. One of THE MOST underrated core exercises, ever. Before I was a PT I didn’t even know it existed…. And now it’s a favourite of mine with all of my clients, and myself. Here’s why:
The dead bug is one of the safest, yet intense (when done correctly) ways to train your core whilst learning how to activate and properly engage it. It’s beginner-friendly movement that helps you grow accustomed to contra-lateral limb extension while keeping your core stable and protected. Performed correctly, the dead bug encourages the deep, stabilizing muscles of your low back, abdominals, and hips to engage, preventing your back from twisting or arching during the exercise. You'll end up improving side-to-side coordination that can effectively transfer to athletic performance, while also improving deep core strength that can reduce the risk of low-back injury. It also promotes core endurance, which is vital for improving posture long term for those with an anterior pelvic tilt (which is quite common!). What great about the dead bug as well is that once you’ve mastered the free version, we can amp it up by using resistance bands to further challenge the core. Strong foundations, strong life. Get on it!
What’s your favourite core exercise?

Why does no one talk about this….
It’s not all about weight. Everywhere I look on social media I see such a huge focus on weight and weightloss, and never about health. Yes, weight can be a measurable metric for health, but it isn’t the only thing that matters. You’re more than a number on the scale, and your health isn’t defined by it. If you ARE looking to lose weight (which is totally fine), try focusing on eating foods that are good for your health and nourish your body, foods filled with vitamins and antioxidants to give you energy, fuel your body and help you focus. You’ll find if you stick to good portions of these foods and focus on how they can make you feel that slowly but surely, the scale will move. And better yet, you’ll feel amazing during this process. So go ahead and fill your fridge/pantry with lean proteins, veggies, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, eggs, Greek yogurt (if that’s your things). Healthy beverages such as kombucha, coconut water and green tea. When you feel amazing and are satisfied, it’s much easier to adhere to your calorie goals, and workout.
Send me a DM to see how you can learn more about sustainable, enjoyable nutrition and get your goals on track today! 🙌🏻
