🕵️‍♀️ MYTH BUSTERS

❓️MYTH:
Babies should start solids with plain fruit or vegetable purées.

❗️FACT:
While single-food introduction matters for the top 9 allergens, there’s no reason iron-rich foods can’t be included from day one. Babies only take a couple of bites, so every bite should count toward their daily iron needs. You can safely add iron-rich ingredients, like cooked liver, beef mince, chicken, lamb, sardines (after finned fish introduction), or slow-cooked meats into purées or baby-led weaning meals.

Chelsea and Jordan were in the clinic this morning with baby Lola for a child health appointment with Dr Friend.

While we’re sure there may be a little less sleep happening at home, they are absolutely glowing as new parents ✨

Congratulations on the safe arrival of beautiful baby Lola. We have loved walking alongside you throughout this journey and feel so privileged to be able to continue caring for your family at Western Family Practice. 🤍
