Christmas Sundowner is coming - Let’s Celebrate Together!

It’s that time of year when our whole Quinns family comes together - from our littlest Nippers to our patrolling members, coaches, Silver Salties, and every friend and supporter in between.

Join us on Saturday 20 December, from 4pm–8pm and support this special night. Not only is it a chance to kick back and celebrate the year, but your attendance helps support the club we all love and every smiling face truly makes a difference.

Expect plenty of fun with a DJ, foam party, face painter and an obstacle course, all set against one of the most spectacular sunsets on the coast. (We might even kick off our inaugural Christmas Volleyball Comp… if someone gets us a new net in time!)

And this time, our volunteers get to relax too! Two wonderful food-truck vendors Mr Chips Fish & Chips and Osakaya Okonomiyaki will be serving up delicious options to keep everyone fuelled as we enjoy the vibes right through sunset. We’d love you to support these fantastic local businesses who are helping give our volunteers a well-deserved night off cooking.

Bring your chairs, bring your cheer, and let’s wrap up the year the Quinns way - sunshine, smiles and community spirit.

Abalone fishing runs from 7–8am this Saturday, and we want everyone enjoying the reef safely.

Abalone are single-shell marine snails found along our rocky coastline and collecting them can be challenging in strong swell and slippery conditions.

Our Quinns Mindarie Lifesaving team has been upping their skills and preparing for the season to help keep everyone safe on the water, thanks to some extra help from Marine Rescue Rockingham!

Please fish with care: know where the lifeguards are, stay within sight, and if you need help, raise one arm straight above your head.

Wear proper gear, go with mates, and always respect the ocean.

Let’s make it a safe and successful morning for all.

What a weekend of competition for QMSLSC on the sand and in the water at Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club!

Saturday saw our U14, U17 and Open athletes (with a few sneaky Masters joining in) take on the Fuel to Go & Play Surf League. Our team punched well above their weight against some of WA’s best (and even some of the world’s best!), finishing an incredible 6th overall. We even entered our first-ever Taplin Relay at this level - such a proud club moment!

Today it was our amazing Nippers’ turn, with our U10–U13 athletes smashing it out on the sand and in the water at the Fuel to Go & Play Nippers Carnival. Big smiles, big effort, and even bigger QMSLSC spirit on display.

A huge thank you to our dedicated coaches, Age Managers, officials and water safety volunteers- your commitment is what builds this team, and the future is looking bright because of you. And to our wonderful parents and caregivers, we see those early starts and appreciate every bit of effort to get our athletes on the sand and in the water.

We hope you all enjoy a well-earned Sunday rest and we are back at it again next weekend with our Little Nippers taking centre stage and we can’t wait to see how they go!

Some of our amazing members spent a wonderful day at Joondalup Education Support Centre, showcasing the Woodside Nippers All Abilities Program to their gorgeous students for International Day of People with Disability. It was all smiles, high-fives and plenty of beach-themed fun!

The Surf Life Saving WA Woodside Nippers All Abilities program runs alongside our regular Sunday program at Quinns, and focuses on creating an inclusive environment for participants with diverse needs and abilities, based around enjoyment, social interaction, water and beach familiarisation, and physical activity, adapted to their unique learning needs.

Big smiles and big effort from our young Quinns stars! 🌊

Some of our Nippers headed to the Alkimos Surf Life Saving Club’s Development Carnival yesterday to get a feel for what a carnival looks and feels like and what a day they had! For our U8s, it was their very first taste of carnival action, and judging by the cheers, confidence and happy faces, it was a huge success.

Well done to all our Nippers who gave it a go, and thank you to the parents, Age Managers and volunteers who supported them. What a great start to their surf sport journey! 🤍💙🩵

What a morning at Nippers for our older age groups! 🌊

Perfect “swimming pool” conditions made it an ideal day for our Iron Points event, with that gruelling swim–run–board–swim challenge pushing everyone to dig deep.

We couldn’t be prouder of the kids who stepped up, backed themselves, and gave it their absolute best. Days like today remind us just how special our club and beach really is.

A huge shout-out to our amazing volunteers, none of this happens without you. And if you’ve ever thought about getting involved, it’s never too late to join in! 🩵💙🤍

What a night at North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club Sunset Carnival! 🌅💛💙

Huge congratulations to all our amazing Nippers who competed on Friday - first carnival of tne season and you represented QMSLSC with so much effort, determination and pride. We’re pretty sure a few of you enjoyed sneaking out of school a little early to make it there on time too!

With the wind up and the waves rolling through, conditions were definitely interesting, but that sunset and those smiles made it all worthwhile. A fantastic evening of racing and team spirit from our young legends.

Our Surf Lifesaving Christmas Tree is Up!

How incredible does our Surf Lifesaving–themed Christmas tree look in the club today? A huge thank-you to the wonderfully creative Maker Street Craft Co, who brought this idea to life with their amazing craftsmanship and surf lifesaving flair! 😍

They’ve been running fantastic crafty workshops for our community and there’s more on the way, including an upcoming Christmas wreath workshop! Make sure to give them a follow to keep an eye out for their creative workshops and the beautiful pieces they help you to create!!!

What a fabulous afternoon at our Paint & Sip!

Our club was full of colour, creativity and plenty of laughter today as the wonderful Amy from Craft and Canvas guided our latest social event. Our ladies painted, sipped and enjoyed every moment and we were blown away by how amazing everyone’s artworks turned out from top to bottom!

A huge thank you to Amy for bringing her magic, and to everyone who joined in and made the afternoon so special. We hope you loved it as much as we did! 💙
