Now a registered charity, we’re feeding hearts, not just stomachs ❤️ Follow us on socials to donate, volunteer, or get involved. Ultimately our goal for our charity is to raise awareness of Autism and Smith-Magenis Syndrome throughout the community through education tools generated by us and coexisting foundations. We hope to be able to purchase sensory items and/or toys for families that aren’t in a position to do this themselves with no money exchanging hands, we source the items/toys through agencies that are specific to Autism. We also are looking to funding Families to meet appointments that they cannot afford for themselves and also funding for Physiotherapy at a state level that the state funding does not currently provide for. will also look into creating support groups for fathers, as there are very little support groups for fathers to attend. This will aid fathers to help in coping with troubles they are experiencing, be able to make contact with other fathers experiencing the same factors in relationships and in general be able to have some time in a group environment to talk, interact and socialise with one another. We are also creating a mothers group. These are flexible groups and will aim to support working mums and non-working mums, to meet up with other mothers of similar circumstances experiencing the same factors in relationships and in general be able to have some time in a group environment to talk, interact and socialise with one another. We understand that all mother’s schedules are different so these groups will be designed to cater for the difference in times. Our goals for our charity aim to assist Families affected by Autism on many levels, we have taken into consideration various ideas and strategies to keep children occupied and focused and we feel sport would be advantageous to both the children and parents to interact and bond as family. Soccer is a sport we have closely followed and feel this would be a stepping stone for Autistic children to develop focus and help the fundamentals in a physiotherapy environment. Ball control in soccer has many benefits and would vastly improve a child’s responses physically. We aim to contact the Department of Sport and Recreation for assistance and funding to help launch this branch of The Missing Piece Australia Inc. Our 5 year long term plan include being able to open a couple of facilities in Perth, Western Australia, to focus on Autistic children. These would be Day care centres and before/after school care facilities catering for children on the autism spectrum. We strongly feel that there is a lack of support in this area for families and being able to formulate these centres to an operational standard across the board would help families greatly in choosing a centre that would best suit their children’s needs, children have been asked to leave day care centres because they cannot be catered for properly or the staff haven’t been trained well enough or have the experience to deal with children on the spectrum. Through our own experience of the lack of support in the current day care systems and other family’s experiences we would put together the best working teams to facilitate these centres and show presupposition that we are delivering the required care, thought and planning to deliver the required early intervention the children need
Looking to the future of 10 years plus we would ultimately like to open a school for Autistic children encompassing the same strategies as the day care centres but this would be targeting from Kindy age children to year 6 and to also have a support system in place for Autistic teenagers continuing onto years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12. Our charity would help children on the Autism spectrum to develop and learn all the aspects they need to make the integration in adulthood memorable, bestow confidence and consummation and make it as easy as possible to help them into a career path that they would love to do and be a support program throughout their lives, they only need to reach out to us and ask for our support and we will be there.

Hello Ellenbrook ❤️

My wife and I and family wanted to take a moment to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to every single person who helped make this year so special.

Because of the kindness, generosity, and support of our amazing community, we were able to provide an average of 40 meals every single week — that’s 1,760 meals in total for the year. All of this was made possible from a home-kitchen operation, which just goes to show what can happen when a community comes together with care and compassion.

As the year comes to a close, we’ll be taking a well-earned short break and will be back cooking and serving meals from the week of 5th January 2025.

Looking ahead, our plans for 2026 are exciting. We’re aiming to expand — providing more meals, more often — and continued donations and community support will make that possible. Whether it’s food, funds, or simply spreading the word, every contribution helps us reach more people in need.

Thank you, Ellenbrook, for your generosity, your trust, and your heart.

From our family to yours, we wish you a very safe and Merry Christmas and an exciting, hopeful New Year 🫶🫶🫶
