Claise Brook Catchment Group

Claise Brook Catchment Group We hold monthly working bees and community plantings in winter to provide habitat and improve water quality in local wetlands and the Swan River.

The Claise Brook Catchment Group (CBCG) is a incorporated community-based environmental group working in partnership with local government and state government agencies to address natural resource management issues in the Perth inner city area. We are working to restore wetlands and improve the quality of water flowing into the Swan River from Perth city and inner city and raise community awareness and involvement in environmental issues. We assist at Local Plant sales and hold tours to raise awareness about how everyone can help to improve the health of local wetlands and the Swan River. Our website is www.cbcg.org.au, on which there is a journal of all our recent activities.

A lot accomplished at Lincoln tower, Highgate this morning. Careful weeding around the precious banksias and new plantings on the verge. Many thanks to Rada, Jack and Micky for bringing plants and cake, Gerri for growing new plants, Rada's mum for baking cake and the City of Vincent for preparing and mulching the verge. Oh and the WA Police historical society for fencing off the verge. Team effort! Especially Geraldine Box and James πŸ‘πŸ‘

Please bring a trowel as well as gloves. Robertson park is on Stuart St, Perth, between Fitzgerald and Palmerston Streets. Don't forget to check the parking signs if you come by car.
